The faculty’s research and teaching focuses on social, economic, political and educational issues with the common goal of contributing to an inclusive, open and resourceful society. Your role We are seeking a post-doctoral researcher to join the YES – Young People in Esch-sur-Alzette project, which explores the experiences of youth aged 12 to 29 in and with the city of Esch-sur-Alzette from a social sciences perspective. This role primarily involves using qualitative methods to study young people’s interests, challenges and use of local social action measures, ultimately contributing to the development of a new municipal youth plan. The researcher will work closely with local authorities and the University of Luxembourg to generate scientific insights that will inform public policy. The successful candidate will be affiliated with the Centre for Childhood and Youth Research (CCY) within the Department of Social Sciences. The CCY is a multidisciplinary research team that examines the conditions and opportunity structures of growing up against the backdrop of social change and inequalities. It maintains strong links to other institutes and relevant organizations within and beyond the department, both nationally and internationally. Your role
