The role combines diagnostic pathology, research, consultancy, and dissemination, with active participation in BSL2/BSL3 facilities. Key Responsibilities Daily operations of Patologivagten, including necropsy, histopathology, diagnostics, and advising partners. Research-based consultancy for livestock disease surveillance and control. Conduct independent research projects in veterinary pathology; publish results in scientific journals. Research-based teaching and dissemination, including popular science publications. Train junior colleagues and share knowledge internally. Participate in academic assessment committees and formal pedagogical training. Qualifications PhD in Veterinary Pathology with relevant publication record. Experience in diagnostics of notifiable animal diseases, BSL2/BSL3 necropsy, and research-based public sector consultancy. Preferably experienced with Scandinavian wildlife, companion animals, and livestock disease surveillance. Strong communication, teamwork skills, and ability to work collaboratively with national veterinary authorities. Languages: High proficiency in Danish and English. Must hold Danish veterinary authorization.
