As a technician, you will: Produce and purify disease-related and quality-control proteins for consortium experiments. Work with bacteria, insect, or mammalian cells. Collaborate with PhD students, postdocs, and PIs across the consortium. Access state-of-the-art infrastructure, including the Utrecht Protein Research Centre. Key Responsibilities Protein production and purification for consortium-wide experiments. Support biochemical, molecular, and cellular experiments. Collaborate with team members to achieve FLOW’s research objectives. Maintain high laboratory standards and contribute to experimental planning. Candidate Profile Education: HBO or University degree in Chemistry, Life Sciences, Biology Laboratory Research, or equivalent. Technical Skills: Protein production/purification, cloning, gene expression, cell culture; experience with E. coli and mammalian cells preferred. Additional Skills: CRISPR methods, light microscopy, flow cytometry (FACS) advantageous. Work Style: Independent, organized, flexible, and eager to learn. Language: Fluent in English; Dutch desirable (or willingness to learn within 2 years). Teamwork: Collaborative mindset, strong interpersonal skills.
