Research assistant for work on synthetic frameworks organized through halogen bonding interactions. Assist Ph.D. candidate in molecule and material synthesis and characterization.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

Synthetic (in)organic chemistry

Lab maintenance and safety protocols

Molecular and material characterization

Other duties as assigned


Minimum Qualifications

 Bachelor’s degree in chemistry or related field

 Research experience with halogen bonding tectons

 Research experience with mechanochemical crystallization

 Synthetic organic chemistry

Design of halogen bonding tectons and synthons


Preferred Qualifications

Previous experience in synthetic chemistry group focused on halogen bonding crystal engineering
