Job Description
The Movileanu laboratory at Syracuse University is soliciting applications for two NIH-funded postdoctoral researcher positions in Experimental Biophysics. These positions involve fundamental and applied research and advising graduate students in an interdisciplinary and self-contained research team. The initial appointment is for one year, with the possibility of renewal depending on performance and available funding. Salary is negotiable based on experience and qualifications.
Qualifications
The candidate should have a Ph.D. in physics, biophysics, chemical biology, bioengineering, or a related field.
 
Job Specific Qualifications
Experience in one of the following areas is preferred: single-molecule biophysics, molecular biology, protein chemistry, nanofabrication, and ultrasensitive electrical and optical measurements. The successful candidates will employ nanopore probe techniques for protein analytics at single-molecule precision.
Responsibilities
    • Conduct research on single-molecule biophysics
    • Mentoring graduate students in research projects
