Position Description

The Gershman Lab is seeking a Fellow to work on cell biology projects. This one-year position will focus on studies of learning and memory in the ciliate Stentor.


Responsibilities

  • Constructing experimental apparatuses
  • Maintaining cell cultures
  • Running experiments
  • Analyzing data

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in neuroscience, biology, or related discipline

Additional Qualifications

  • Experience gathering and/or analyzing data
  • Ability to communicate effectively in both written and oral formats
  • Ability to work in a positive and productive manner with a variety of staff
  • Ability to prioritize work and coordinate research protocols with lab members
  • Excellent attention to detail and organization skills
  • Interest in learning and strengthening existing skillsets

Please note: This position is contingent upon funding and satisfactory performance. Pay offered to the selected candidate is dependent on factors such as years of experience, training or qualification, field of scholarship, and accomplishments in the field.
