The position involves fieldwork, laboratory work, and data management as part of the research group “Population Biology, Micro- and Macroevolution,” led by Professor Erik Svensson. Responsibilities Conduct fieldwork at Stensoffa Ecological Field Station and localities to estimate population densities, colour morph frequencies, and mark individuals for mark-recapture studies. Lead and participate in field experiments. Collect, classify, and record phenotypic and morphometric data. Collect specimens for molecular analysis (DNA sequencing). Support student supervision and administrative/logistical tasks related to fieldwork. Qualifications Required: University education in ecology, evolution, or conservation biology. Experience with fieldwork involving insects. Basic knowledge of insects, identification, and capture. Ability to work independently and in a team. Good command of English (written and spoken). Valid Swedish driver’s license. Desirable / Additional Merits: Master’s degree in biology. Broad biological experience, ideally with insect fieldwork. Leadership and supervisory skills.
