The Biosciences Division of ORNL has an opening for a postdoctoral researcher to conduct basic research on plant genes and phenotypes foundational to developing sustainable biomass feedstocks. You will join a diverse, interdisciplinary team working to characterize plant traits and link them to genetic information under the Center for Bioenergy Innovation project. Major Duties/Responsibilities:You will work within the Plant Systems Biology Group, which focuses on understanding genetic controls of plant productivity, biomass quality, and resilience. The project will involve improving biomass characteristics in poplar via genetic engineering, genome editing, and genomic selection. Responsibilities include:
