About This Opportunity

We are seeking casual Senior Research Assistants to support the First Nations Cancer & Wellbeing Research Program. The CanCo Study explores the cancer care experiences of First Nations peoples and their carers.


Key Responsibilities

  • Conducting telephone interviews with study participants
  • Coordinating and scheduling interviews respectfully and efficiently
  • Building rapport and maintaining culturally safe, ethical interactions
  • Accurately recording and managing research data

About You

  • Degree or diploma in public health, health services, or related field, or equivalent experience
  • Experience conducting qualitative interviews, ideally via telephone
  • Strong communication skills with a respectful, participant-centred approach
  • Highly organised with the ability to work independently
  • Sound judgement and initiative in a research environment
  • Understanding of confidentiality and ethical research practices
  • Experience in similar roles or qualitative research is highly regarded
