Children's Hospital of Philadelphia and the Division of Sleep Medicine in the Department of Medicine at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seek candidates for an Assistant Professor position in the non-tenure clinician educator track. Expertise is required in the specific area of chemogenetics. Applicants must have an M.D. or equivalent degree. Candidates should be board certified or board eligible in Sleep Medicine.

Teaching responsibilities may include training residents and fellows in addition to precepting medical students and other trainees in the field of Sleep Medicine.

Clinical responsibilities may include performing comprehensive evaluations and managing of children with sleep disorders; interpreting polysomnograms, multiple sleep latency tests, and home sleep apnea tests; attending in the pediatric sleep disorders clinic and sleep telemedicine program.

Research or scholarship responsibilities may include performing chemogenetics to study the function of specific brain regions in subjects undergoing anesthesia. Evidence of scholarship is required in the Clinician-Educator track.
