Position Overview

  • The Wold Professor will focus on Environmental Balance for Human Sustainability, connecting energy, mineral, and environmental sectors with academic instruction.

  • Responsibilities include:

    • Teaching classes and contributing to capstone courses with industry connections.

    • Helping students develop practical skills related to environmental, mineral, and energy resource management.

    • Initiating and supporting an industry consortium: recruiting members, matching projects to research groups, advising students, contributing to symposia and activity reports.

  • The position is designed for practitioners with significant industry experience, allowing flexibility for external commitments while engaging in innovative education.


Qualifications

Required:

  • MS or PhD in geosciences or related field.

  • At least 5 years of relevant professional experience in private or public sector.

Preferred:

  • Prior teaching experience.

  • Experience connecting academia with industry partners.
