Role Overview

The successful candidate will:

  • Lead research in integrated micro-nano magnetics materials, devices, and systems for high-performance computing and AI.

  • Design, fabricate, test, and integrate novel micro-nano magnetic devices and systems.

  • Provide academic leadership in MicroNano Magnetics activities across the School of Engineering and Tyndall National Institute.

  • Collaborate with industry partners and contribute to teaching initiatives.

  • Support Tyndall’s mission and UCC Futures strategic goals, including involvement with the SFI CONNECT Centre for Future Communications and Networks.


Candidate Profile

  • Distinguished research record in integrated micro-nano magnetics materials, devices, or systems (experimental expertise required).

  • Proven record of teaching excellence and ability to mentor researchers.

  • Ability to collaborate with industry and lead research teams.

  • Capacity to develop new research initiatives and coordinate research and teaching across the Institute and School.
