Department: Faculty of Medicine – University of Helsinki, Finland About the PositionThe newly established Finnish Centre of Excellence in Immune–Endothelial Interfaces (IMMENs) invites applications for two Postdoctoral Researcher positions. Successful candidates will work in the research groups of Dr. Taija Mäkinen and Dr. Kari Vaahtomeri at the Faculty of Medicine, University of Helsinki. IMMENs, in collaboration with Åbo Akademi University in Turku, investigates how lymphatic vessel endothelium regulates immune responses. The research focuses on local immune regulation, lymphatic–immune crosstalk, and phenotypic changes controlling immune cell trafficking, fate, and function. Approaches include:
The project aims to uncover mechanisms of lymphatic endothelial immunomodulation in homeostasis, inflammation, and tumorigenesis, providing a foundation for translational studies for immune-targeted therapies. Who We Are Looking ForRequired Qualifications:
