Position Overview

The Fagerholm group is seeking a highly motivated postdoctoral researcher to study the molecular mechanisms regulating immune cell signaling and programming in vivo, with a focus on dendritic cells, the main antigen-presenting cells.

The work is relevant for understanding immunodeficiency, inflammatory disorders, and cancer, using techniques including:

  • Mouse models and colony management

  • In vivo immune cell functional assays

  • Flow cytometry

  • Cell biology and metabolic assays

  • Imaging techniques

  • Omics techniques, such as RNA-seq

This position is embedded in a highly interdisciplinary research environment and encourages collaboration across fields.


Candidate Profile

Required Qualifications:

  • PhD in immunology or closely related field (or near completion)

  • Strong academic record and deep understanding of immunology

  • Practical experience in immune cell biology, cell culture, omics (RNA-seq), flow cytometry, and mouse colony management

  • Highly motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team

  • Fluent in English

Desirable Skills:

  • Interest in interdisciplinary research
