The Department of Psychology is seeking a part-time instructor to teach PSY 252 Statistical Methods II (3 credits) during the Fall 2025 semester.

Course Description:
Distributions, graphs, exploratory data analysis, and descriptive statistics, sampling and experiments, sampling distributions, correlation and regression, confidence intervals, and significance tests for measured and count data. Computer applications included.


Qualifications

  • Ph.D. or working towards a Ph.D. in Psychology or a related field

Responsibilities

  • Develop and/or update class syllabus

  • Order appropriate books and materials in advance of class start date

  • Prepare lectures, projects, and other student assignments

  • Maintain regularly scheduled office hours (2 hours per week)

  • Present instruction based on class competencies and performance levels

  • Meet all designated class periods; reschedule or provide substitute in case of absence and notify department chair

  • Maintain student learning outcomes with the academic unit

  • Submit completed final grades according to University regulations

  • Grade student assignments and exams in a timely manner

  • Provide forms for completed student evaluations

  • Complete all other course-related duties as outlined by department policies
