Position Overview

University College Cork (UCC) invites applications for a Lecturer in Pharmaceutics in the School of Pharmacy.

The successful candidate will:

  • Support the delivery of industry-focused postgraduate programmes, including:

    • MSc Industrial Pharmaceutical Sciences, Operations & Management

    • MSc in Pharmaceutical Regulatory Sciences

  • Contribute to other undergraduate and postgraduate programmes as directed by the Head of School

  • Teach core principles of Industrial Pharmaceutical Science, including:

    • Industrial Pharmaceutical Development

    • Bio/Pharmaceutical Technology

    • Bio/Pharmaceutical Processing

    • Pharmaceutical Manufacturing Sciences

    • Regulatory Science

  • Undertake teaching, examination, and administrative duties as appropriate to the post

  • Report to the Head of the School of Pharmacy


Research and Academic Duties

In line with UCC’s strategic objective as a research-led institution, the successful candidate is expected to:

  • Engage in research and research-led teaching

  • Contribute to the University, the discipline, and the community

  • Work effectively within a team environment to deliver and advance postgraduate programmes


Salary

Appointment may be made on the Lecturer Salary Scale:

Scale B €41,685 – €71,735 €78,401 – €101,534
Scale A €43,732 – €68,260 €74,592 – €96,455

Salary placement will follow public sector pay policy.
