The Rutgers School of Nursing invites applications for a faculty position jointly appointed with Rutgers’ Institute of Health (IFH). Opportunities exist for protected time and support during the early years of hire. Salary and academic rank will be commensurate with scholarly achievements, including funded research, publication record, and relevant professional experience.

  • Initial support will be provided for establishing a strong research program, with the expectation of increasing extramural support over time.

  • The successful candidate will be a valued faculty member of the Division of Nursing Science.

  • The position is based primarily at the Rutgers Institute of Health in New Brunswick, NJ.

  • Extensive research resources are available for health policy and health services research, including national Medicare, Medicaid, and private insurance datasets, EMR data, and opportunities to collaborate with ongoing health services research programs.

  • Research areas include behavioral health services, treatment for substance use disorder, long-term care, health system outcomes, and the impact of health policies on access, outcomes, and equity of treatment.

Overview

Rutgers Biomedical and Health Sciences (RBHS) is New Jersey’s premier academic health center, integrating education, clinical care, and research to improve human health. RBHS comprises eight schools, a behavioral health network, and five centers and institutes focused on cancer, neuroscience, advanced biotechnology, medicine, environmental and occupational health, and health care policy and aging research.
