The Faculty of Sports Studies at Masaryk University is a dynamically developing faculty located in the modern premises of the University Campus in Brno-Bohunice. Our mission is to contribute through student education, scientific activity and social engagement to a physically active and healthy lifestyle for all age and performance groups of the population, to the development of knowledge in the field of sport, and to respect for the rules of fair play in sport and in everyday life. 

We are looking for new colleagues for the University Sports Centre who are passionate, versatile athletes and are interested in actively participating in teaching general physical education to Masaryk University students and in other sports and physical activities for students, employees and the general public. 

Job description:

  • teaching activities, especially teaching practical subjects with a focus on physical education, in particular:participation in publishing activities, especially for educational purposes,
    • sports games – volleyball, basketball, badminton, futsal, football,
    • water sports – canoeing, rowing, paddleboarding, dragon boats,
    • various forms of indoor lessons – Pilates, yoga, aerobics, fitness,
    • outdoor activities – cycling, climbing, running, water sports, cold water swimming, parkour,
    • combat sports – basic self-defence, judo, karate, kickboxing, grappling, capoeira, 
    • and others,
  • participation in project activities with a focus on physical education,
  • supervision and review of master's and bachelor's theses,
  • popularisation of science, research and the importance of physical activity.


We require:

  • at least a master's degree in physical education and sport or a related field,
  • competence in teaching practical movement/sport-oriented subjects (especially versatile sports skills),
  • excellent knowledge of the Czech language, active knowledge of English (spoken and written),
  • excellent communication skills,
  • ability to work independently and in a team,
  • active approach, initiative and willingness to continue education and self-development.


We appreciate:

  • previous experience in teaching or leading physical or sports activities,
  • a wide range of sports skills and the ability to teach various sports, including individual and team disciplines,
  • the ability to work with modern technologies in the field of sports and social networks,
  • willingness to organise sports meetings and activities in a university sports environment,
  • experience in preparing, administering and submitting project applications, particularly in the field of sports, education or leisure activities.
     

Expected start date: September 2025

Working hours: 40 hours per week (1.0 FTE), or part-time (at least 20 hours per week)
