Instructor in Psychiatry (University of Pennsylvania Perelman)

Description Children's Hospital of Philadelphia and the Department of Psychiatry at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seek candidates for an Instructor position in the Academic Support Staff. This appointment will be initially for one (1) year, with continuation and renewal during that time period based on satisfactory performance and availability of funding (limited to three (3) years). Expertise is required in the specific area of psychiatry research, with an emphasis on neurophysiology and psychosis, as well as bench research involving neuronal cell culture and imaging of synaptic activity (typically requiring a PhD). Applicants must have an M.D. or equivalent degree, board certification in Psychiatry, and a Pennsylvania medical license.
