Position Overview

The Hospital for Sick Children seeks a visionary leader to serve as Division Head of Haematology Oncology. The role encompasses leadership, mentorship, and strategic oversight of clinical, educational, and research programs in pediatric hematology, oncology, stem cell transplantation, and cellular therapies.

The Division Head will:

  • Lead the Division’s faculty, trainees, and multidisciplinary teams across five specialized sections.

  • Oversee clinical programs including precision therapies, early-phase trials, cancer genetics, long-term survivorship, and cellular therapies.

  • Drive research and innovation, including translational and basic science, clinical trials, and evidence-based practice.

  • Serve as Head of the Garron Family Cancer Centre, aligning clinical, research, and educational initiatives.

  • Manage philanthropic resources and strategic planning to expand the Division’s impact.


Qualifications

  • MD, MBBS, or equivalent, with Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada certification (or eligibility).

  • Eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario.

  • Demonstrated leadership, mentorship, and academic excellence in clinical care, research, and education.

  • Experience with interdisciplinary collaboration and program development in pediatric hematology-oncology.

Salary: $425,000–$525,000 per year, plus potential leadership stipend and benefits package (medical, dental, life insurance, pension, relocation).
