We are seeking to appoint an ambitious and highly committed academic leader with a demonstrable track record in ageing health services research scholarship, competitive grant acquisition, and educational innovation. The successful candidate will provide strategic and operational leadership within the Ageing Research Centre, housed in the School of Allied Health, building internationally competitive research programmes, strengthening postgraduate and CPD offerings in health services research, and contributing to the University’s strategic vision for excellence in health services research and evidence-based practice. The School of Allied Health at UL is a dynamic and collaborative environment that delivers excellence in research, teaching, and societal impact. We are committed to enhancing health and well-being through pioneering research, scholarly activity, and the education of future practitioners. The school encompasses four Allied Health disciplines and offers five CORU-approved pre-registration programmes in Human Nutrition and Dietetics, Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, and Speech and Language Therapy. Additionally, the School provides a growing portfolio of post-registration programmes aimed at fostering professional development of healthcare professionals. The school is highly research-active, with a particular focus on studies that inform policy, shape service delivery, and ultimately optimise health and wellbeing outcomes across society.
