Associate/Assistant Professor of Liberal Arts (Louisiana Tech University)

Location: Ruston, Louisiana College: College of Liberal Arts Start Date: September 1, 2025 Employment Type: Full-time, Tenure-Track, Nine-Month Appointment Responsibilities Teaching nine undergraduate aviation classroom courses per year. If certified flight instructor, conducting flight instruction in the flight education program. Advising students. Assisting with planning, development, and revision of flight and ground school course curricula. Engaging in research and professional service within the guidelines of the University or as determined by the Unit Head. Qualifications Required: Master’s degree in aviation related academic field or Bachelor's degree in Aviation with a Master's degree and aviation experience. Ability to work well under pressure and adapt to constantly changing conditions. Ability to multi-task, collect information, analyze data, define challenges, set priorities, and draw valid conclusions in a timely manner. Ability to work varied hours during on and off campus events. Preferred: Doctorate degree. Current CFI/CFII/AGI/IGI/MEI certifications. Prior experience as a 14 CFR Part 141 flight instructor. Experience with collegiate aviation accreditation through the Aviation Accreditation Board International.
