Position Overview

SUTD’s HASS cluster invites applications for a tenure-track, open-rank faculty position in Digital Finance and AI.

• Focus on digital finance research; experience with machine learning, AI, or related tools is preferred.

• The position is interdisciplinary, linking Economics, Design, and AI.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain a strong research profile, including publications and grant funding.

• Contribute to interdisciplinary research initiatives, collaborating with colleagues in engineering, architecture, computer science, and design.

• Lead the development and teaching of new undergraduate courses in Digital Finance for the interdisciplinary B.Sc. degree in Design, AI, and Economics.

• Mentor doctoral and postgraduate students in Digital Finance or related fields.

• Support industry and public-sector collaborations, if applicable.

Candidate Profile

Required Qualifications and Skills:

• Excellent record of effective university-level teaching.

• Strong research credentials in Digital Finance, preferably with AI or machine learning applications.

• Potential to develop interdisciplinary research directions.

Desirable Qualifications:

• Experience collaborating with industry or public sector partners.
