Position: Open Rank Professor in Social Psychology DescriptionThe Department of Psychology at Yale University invites applications for an open rank Professor (assistant professor, associate professor with tenure, or full professor) in the area of Social Psychology, beginning July 1, 2026. This position is open to all sub-areas in Social Psychology, including (but not limited to):
The successful applicant will be expected to teach both a service course (a broader psychology course) and a smaller seminar (often on the topic of their choosing). This position is especially suited for a scholar whose interests afford collaboration with faculty in the other areas of our department (cognitive, developmental, clinical, and neuroscience) and/or with scholars in other schools and disciplines at Yale, such as the School of Public Health, School of Medicine, Jackson School, Law School, and African American Studies. Successful candidates will have a demonstrated record of rigorous, innovative, and impactful research, a commitment to teaching and mentoring at both the graduate and undergraduate levels, and a desire to work in a dynamic, diverse, and collaborative environment.
