Position Overview

Position title: Multiple Sclerosis/Neuroimmunology Clinician
Salary range: The posted UC Salary scales set the minimum pay at the appointment as determined by appointment type and, if applicable, rank and/or step. The base pay range for this position is $90,700 - $238,300. Salary is negotiated annually. Additional compensation may be available if the position includes membership in the Health Sciences Compensation Plan.

Position Description

The Department of Neurosciences at the University of California San Diego (UCSD) (https://neurosciences.ucsd.edu/) is committed to academic excellence and diversity within the faculty, staff, and student body. We are seeking a skilled clinician-investigator specializing in Multiple Sclerosis/Neuroimmunology.

The selected candidate will:

  • Provide clinical care to patients.

  • Lead and contribute to research initiatives.

  • Teach and mentor medical students, residents, and fellows.

The appropriate series and appointment will be based on the candidate’s background and experience.

Qualifications

Basic qualifications (required at time of application):

  • MD degree or equivalent.

  • Board-certified or Board-eligible in Neurology, with subspecialty certification in Multiple Sclerosis or Neuroimmunology.

  • Must have or be eligible for a California medical license or equivalent certification/permit as determined by the Medical Board of California.
