The Faculty of Sports Studies is a progressively developing faculty of Masaryk University located on a modern university campus in Brno-Bohunice. Its mission is to contribute to promoting a physically active and healthy life for all age and performance groups of the population and to developing knowledge in the field of sports and physical activities.

We would be pleased to welcome a new colleague to the Department of Physical Education and Social Sciences. The new colleague will focus on organising teaching courses and specialise in teaching summer and winter sports, water climbing, and more. Job description:

  • pedagogical activity, teaching courses in bachelor and master forms of study (Sports activities and their organization in winter conditions, Sports activities and their organization in summer conditions, Didactics of sports in winter conditions),
  • organisation and provision of winter and summer training courses
  • share in publishing activities,
  • participation in project activities with a physical education focus,
  • conducting and opposing diploma and bachelor theses,
  • popularization of science, research and the importance of physical activity.

 

Our idea of a suitable candidate:  

  • min. master's degree in physical education and sport or related field, Ph.D. education in the field an advantage,
  • Own teaching experience ( at least 3 years),
  • experience in the commercial or educational sector in teaching winter sports for at least 3 years (downhill and cross-country skiing, snowboarding),
  • experience in organizing winter and summer sporting events, team building, etc.
  • Advanced user knowledge of O365 and MS Office (especially Excel),
  • excellent knowledge of the Czech language, active knowledge of English (written and verbal),
  • excellent communication skills,
  • active attitude, initiative and willingness to further education and self-development.

 

We appreciate:

  • Basic School Skiing or School Ski Instructor licence (or equivalent, e.g. from abroad),
  • experience with rock climbing and artificial climbing walls (active climber with at least one year of experience, mastered safe belaying technique, knowledge of knots, etc.),
  • paddling skills and experience with water tourism and canoeing.
