Assistant Professor of Neurology (Yale University)

Description Assistant Professor of Neurology (Investigator Track) Yale Medical School. Incumbent will work as part of a team at the Center for Neuroscience and Regeneration Research located at VA Medical Center, West Haven, CT, and will be expected to help advance studies on Nav channels and pain with an emphasis on high-throughput analysis and cannabinoids. Qualifications Substantial experience with high-throughput platforms, particularly with multiplex voltage-clamp/current clamp analysis on freshly isolated neurons, and experience studying functionally-selective Nav inhibition by cannabinoids, is essential. Experience studying mutant Nav1.7 and TRPM channels associated with human pain syndromes, effects of acidosis on Nav channels, and Nav1.4 channels are highly desirable. PhD or MD degree and publications in these areas are essential.
