The Department of Mechanical and Civil Engineering (MCE) at the Florida Institute of Technology invites applications for a Visiting Assistant Professor in the Civil Engineering program with an expected start date of August 4, 2025. Successful candidates must have a commitment to teaching excellence at undergraduate and graduate levels and contribute to the institution and profession through service. This is a non-tenure track position. A Ph.D. in Civil Engineering or a closely related field is required for consideration. The successful applicant will be expected to teach two courses per semester and support Florida DOT research projects in Geotechnical Engineering. Candidates should have a strong background in Geotechnical and Structure and have familiarity with Florida DOT geotechnical research opportunities. Candidates are also expected contribute to digital (simulation-based) engineering focus of the Department.
