Be You. The Department of Pharmacology & Cancer Biology is looking for a Research Scholar to work alongside Dr. Michael Kastan in research projects. Minimum Requirements Ph.D. in Pharmacology, Molecular Biology, or similar sciences. Preferred Qualifications Direct experience in techniques and topics associated with this specific project exploring interactions between ATM and GRP94 proteins and regulation of cellular stress responses. Responsibilities include: Perform scientific experiments, including but not limited to: Mammalian cell culture Cloning/subcloning/targeted mutagenesis Protein assays (immunoblots and immunoprecipitations) RT-PCR and RNA analyses Cell transfections and selections Cell survival assays Flow cytometry Partner with the PI in directing the scientific directions of the laboratory, including regular review and interpretation of relevant scientific literature. Maintain compliance with regulatory processes (animal, safety, radiation protocols, SOPs, etc.). Orient and participate in oversight of laboratory members, including students, post-doctoral fellows, and technicians. Maintain personal laboratory records and ensure proper recordkeeping among team members. Communicate regularly with the PI and laboratory members.
