Expected Start Date: April 1, 2025. Position Overview The Vice-Chair, Education is a senior leadership role reporting directly to the Chair of Medicine. The successful candidate will oversee a broad educational portfolio encompassing: Undergraduate and postgraduate education, Continuing professional development, and Faculty development. This role requires a visionary leader with a national or international educational profile, the ability to drive innovation, and strong skills in academic engagement and collaboration. The Vice-Chair will work closely with departmental, faculty, and hospital leadership across the Toronto Academic Health Science Network (TAHSN). Qualifications Applicants must: Hold an MD degree. Be eligible for certification in Internal Medicine or a medicine subspecialty by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada. Be eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario (CPSO). Have advanced training in education. Demonstrate a strong record of educational leadership, innovation, and scholarship. The preferred hospital site for the Vice-Chair’s clinical practice will be negotiated with the successful candidate and will be one of the following fully affiliated hospitals: Sinai Health System Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre University Health Network Unity Health Toronto – St. Michael’s Hospital Women’s College Hospital Baycrest The position includes administrative support and an annual stipend, based on 2.5 days per week of administrative commitment.
