Position description

The Department of Internal Medicine, Division of Rheumatology, Allergy and Clinical Immunology at the University of California, Davis, School of Medicine, is currently recruiting a joint, dually appointed position with the VA Northern California Health Care System (VANCHCS) based at Sacramento VA Medical Center, Mather, CA. Focus in the Health Sciences Clinical (HSCP) series at the Assistant, Associate or Full Professor rank will be in allergy and clinical immunology. Faculty in the HSCP series are expected to engage in teaching, participate in university and public service, scholarly or creative work, provide direct patient care and demonstrate professional competence.

The duties for this position will vary based on experience and will be split accordingly between UC Davis Health and the Sacramento VA.

The salary ranges provided are based on full-time employment and will be prorated for any appointment less than 100% time.

The successful candidate will see patients in both the inpatient and outpatient setting and serve as a core faculty member in the Allergy and Immunology Fellowship program. Candidates are expected to have a strong record of clinical care in the full range of allergic and immunologic disorders. The incumbent will provide teaching and supervision of medical students, residents and fellows. The candidate will participate in appropriate professional societies and educational organizations. They will provide service to the department and school committees. They will work cooperatively and collegially within a diverse environment is required. They will work to adhere to University policies and procedures.


Basic qualifications (required at time of application)
  • Applicants must be a US Citizen
  • Must have M.D. degree
Additional qualifications (required at time of start)
  • Be Board Certified or Board Eligible in Pediatrics or Internal Medicine,
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Allergy and Immunology
  • Be Certified or eligible for medical licensure in the State of California.
